Home appliance
Due to the great hardness, wear and corrosion resistance, the biocmpatibility and tasteless, ceramic injection molded parts are perfect for the use in domestic appliance and do guarantee a high life expectancy. Cutting, milling, piercing… these are just a few possibilities. Furtheron the injection molding process provides a economical way of a mass production.
Examples of products for home appliance
Grinding discs for coffee machines
Compared with conventional steel discs, ceramic grinding discs are not only distinguished by conformity to foodstuffs regulations and neutral taste.
Clear advantages are given by their high wear resistance and unique hardness. Whereas steel discs shows signs of wear and tear over time, ceramic grinding discs remain permanently sharp and true to shape. Even after 100,000 grinding cycles, the ceramic discs deliver the same amount of coffee with the same grain size to the brewing section of a coffee machine.

Ceramic piercers for coffee cup machines
Piercing needles made of technical ceramic accomplish their task of piercing coffee pods with high precision and durability.
The foil is pierced directly before the brewing process. Neither the abrasive aluminum nor the hot water lead to wear. The ceramic assembly thus guarantees perfect functioning of the entire machine and lasts for the entire life cycle.

Ceramic pierces for a metall membrane
Piercing needles made of technical ceramic also reliably facilitate opening of the steel caps of a CO2 cartridge.
The CO2 cartridge is part of a controlled pressure system and is fitted inside a 5 liter barrel of beer. Prior to tapping the barrel, the ceramic piercing needle for activating the CO2 mechanism, is pressed against the tin-plated steel cap of the cartridge and opens same with a defined hole. The CO2 escaping through this hole, keeps the pressure in the interior of the barrel constant via a control system, keeping the beer fresh for a prolonged period of time.
